• But it was not so simple.
• There was a river in the valley, and a hungry old Tesskan who lived under the bridge.
• He had been priced out of his house by gentrification and he hated hipsters, and their dubious forms of poetry, and frankly was not at all opposed to eating Fillipods.
• So there he stood on the bridge, squarely between the Fillipods and their slam poetry competitions.
• Also, he was holding up a battle axe he had picked up on ebay.
• Frankly, it was a purchase he felt iffy about. Even after he typed in his price, he had been kinda hoping someone would outbid him at the last minute.
• But he was an honest ebay-er and so had honored the sale.
