- Emperor Cruz (via hologram): So! Captain! Fun change of plans. You're headed to Paa'Q to steal a book.
- Taneel: Paa'Q? Haven't the Qen been in open rebellion for the past three years?
- Emperor Cruz: They're an... energetic group of scamps, admittedly. But El Puño has come up with a fun plan to win their trust.
- Taneel: You keep saying "fun".
- Emperor Cruz: It will be fun! We're all going to do a bit of play-acting!
- Cuddow: *Gasp!* My six years of regional theater... finally of use! See, Mother???
- New Fist: The Qen have become very good at blowing up imperial ships in port. So, we won't send you in as an imperial ship.
- Emperor Cruz: In a series of bulletin alerts, we'll broadcast your ship as traitors, wanted dead or alive. A ship on the run! A crew that's siding with the rebels on Las Hermanitas!
- New Fist: You'll reach out to the Qen resistance, and beg for quarter.
- Emperor Cruz: Aaand with a little touch of theater, you'll slip in and steal the book, easy-peasy.
- Taneel: None of that sounds easy-peasy.
- Cuddow (in a ridiculous cowboy costume): Huzzah and hazzoo! I shall be playing the part of Gustave Fleørgin: a mild-mannered citizen with a terrible secret from his past!
