IndústriaGlobo is a major corporation and a key player in the Drive universe. It has existed for longer than the Second Spanish Empire, going back to at least 2240, when Conrado Cruz began working there.[1] It has very close ties to the Empire and La Familia, its logo even being displayed on Imperial propaganda.[2] IndústriaGlobo created the Machito as a luxury yacht before being repurposed as a scout ship by the Empire.[3] IndústriaGlobo twice attempted to reverse-engineer the Ring Drive, both times being severely punished by the Empire.[4] They have developed numerous technologies, including Ring Relays for quick communication[5] and the Neutron Daisy Cutter, a weapon used against the Vinn.[6]
