• Your Imperial Majesty:
  Initial bio-scans of Subject 198A were an unending series of surprises. I will lead off with generalized reports (see attached) on the creature's skeletal, musculatory, circulatory, lymphatic (or lack thereof), nervous, endocrine, and reproductive systems. But I'd like to call your attention mainly to the respiratory system report, as it held the most surprising results. Manily, that the creature is not an "air" breather... but rather a methane breather!
  His lungs are interconnected with a series of extremely elastic sacs and bladders, morphologically similar to that of the puffer fish. Perhaps as an off-shoot of an evolutionary defense mechanism, the creature race has developed an amazing ability to collect and sotre (and perhaps even produce) methane for extremely long periods.   The mohawk un Subject 298A alone could take a lifetime to decipher. It serves aas more than just a sensory organ of mass and gravity -- as we had previously discussed. It seems also to have a means of transmitting information, but of what and to what, I can only guess. Please see the attached files and summary report(s) for my abbreviated best-guesses.

I have received the updated specs you've transmitted for Subject 298A's revised pilot's chair. The captain has asked me to pass along her personal thanks for the modifiations, and the quick turnaround. Unfortunately, the 3-D printer onboard the Machito has proven unable to reproduce the revised chair's delicate interface module as transmitted, and as such we'll have to wait unitl port-call to fab and implement the new chair.
