• Mareeth Baron: Our empire is dead, Mard. As is our empress. We are down to our last strongholds.
• Mard: And you now lead your people?
• Mareeth Baron: No no no. But as the only remaining royal, I was made emissary as a sign of respect to you.
• Mard: A spirited gesture.
• Mareeth Baron: You were always honorable, Mard. Even in war.
  But these Vinn know no honor. They are a fire that consumes the world.
• Mareeth Baron: My friends, my family, have all been taken from me.
  Not killed, mind you. Taken. Ruined. They exist now as strangers in a strange land.
• Mareeth Baron: Mard, this is what will happen to all of us all if we do not stand together.
• Mard: Baron, you know the Continuum makes no common cause.
• Mard: We are a closed loop.
• Mareeth Baron: You have not seen what we have seen! You will lose as we have lost! But perhaps together...
• Mard: I will consider your words.
  And as we warred for 40 years, you shall hear an answer in 40 days.
• Mareeth Baron: 40 days?? Mard! They are wiping us out!

• Mareeth Baron: As a beggar at your door, I can not rush your thinking, but you must know this:
• Mareeth Baron: Our end is close. And if we are to be exterminated, we have decided to go out with a killing blow.
• Mareeth Baron: We will not leave our families in that hell. We will smother the Vinn in darkness.
• Mareeth Baron: If you will not join us -- or if we can not beat them back -- we will kill their stars.
• Mareeth Baron: ALL OF THEM.
