The Second Spanish Empire, or El Imperio, is a polity founded by Conrado Cruz between 2258 and 2290, currently ruled by Emperor Cruz. Its capital is Madrid, on Earth, but it controls much of the Carina-Sagittarius Arm, including Veeta, Dawn, Du Fu, Lorca, Saseet, and Paa'q, and formerly Nuevo Chile and Las Hermanitas. It is presently in a state of war with the Vinn and the Continuum. It is comprised of Humans, Veetans, Fillipods, Tesskans, Nyx and possibly other species.
It is ruled as a hereditary monarchy of unknown succession. However, only the imperial family can declare war. Its currency is the peseta.[1]
