- Nameless Sill: Oh friend. Death is not the end in the great Quiet.
- Cuddow: Wait. It's not?
- Nameless Sill: ... Or are you asking if I'll grieve when the last Sill leaves this physical form?
- Nameless Sill: In either case, the answer is no.
- Nameless Sill: For our race lives on, elsewhere. There are others.
- Nosh: Ma'am, that is... not so.
- Taneel: The hold was the mightiest empire the galaxy ever produced, but it's been gone for lifetimes. You are all that's left.
- Nameless Sill: No, they live. There are vast planets of Sill who did not modifiy themselves for telepathy. They live on in the noise.
- Taneel: We travel vast stretches of space, ma'am, and speak to dozens of species. All report that the once-mighty Sill are... gone.
