The Pilot Species is a species of unknown origin. The only known members are [[Skitter]] and [[Genn]]. The two known individuals are small (relative to [[humans]] and other species throughout the comic), possess a tail somewhat like that of a beaver, and have a Mohawk. [[Nosh]] also says of Skitter<ref>[[Page 0027]]</ref> that "[his] leetle toenails make sound like kitty skittering across floor", hence the name Skitter. This species makes use of their Mohawks to (according to Skitter), see gravity (though this may not be the most accurate description<ref>[[Page 0027]]</ref>), which allows them to pilot [[Ring Drive|Drive Ships]] better and faster than humans can. They are known to be telepathic, using a technique called wind-talking.<ref>[[Page 0251]], [[Page 0265]]</ref> They have been seen by [[Nosh's Grandfather]] on [[Kochi]], a moon of [[Tesskil]].<ref>[[Page 0076]]</ref> According to the [[Nyx]],<ref>[[Page 0249]]</ref> one has also been seen traveling with [[Sill]] monks from the [[Monasteries of Yanta]].

Nuevo Chile was a colony of the Empire, and even surpassed [[Du Fu]] in technological prowess. The fast-growing colony was led by [[César Cruz de Talca]], a charismatic governor and member of [[La Familia]]. Citizens of the colony began to be known as Césaristas, and a movement to secede from the Empire became popular. Emperor Osvaldo, disapproving, had César executed and banned Nuevo Chile from Ring Travel.

Using the Jinyiwei to control the population, Osvaldo established Nuevo Chile as the planet-wide base for the Jinyiwei. It continued to operate as such until the Continuum of Makers discovered it, believing it to be the [[Human]] homeworld. They invaded the planet, and it became Continuum-occupied space. However, the Continuum eventually retreated,<ref>[[Page 0316]]</ref> allowing for the Jinyiwei to recommence their operations there.

This wiki, in addition to documenting and explaining aspects of the DRIVE universe, also has a page dedicated to each page of the comic, complete with a transcript, trivia, and relevant categories, thanks to the diligence of our editors. Since DRIVE is a currently-running webcomic, we regularly update the wiki to feature new pages. However, despite our best efforts, sometimes we make mistakes (we've even missed pages on some occasions!), and sometimes we don't have the time or patience to create the entire page. It is theorized that new offspring in the Continuum undergo a roughly 300-to-400 year developmental period before their coming-of-age to "Maker" status. Sensorfire: Added some steps to take after page creation: updating Last Page, etc.

This wiki, in addition to documenting and explaining aspects of the DRIVE universe, also has a page dedicated to each page of the comic, complete with a transcript, trivia, and relevant categories, thanks to the diligence of our editors. Since DRIVE is a currently-running webcomic, we regularly update the wiki to feature new pages. However, despite our best efforts, sometimes we make mistakes (we've even missed pages on some occasions!), and sometimes we don't have the time or patience to create the entire page. Fortunately, this is a wiki! Wikis are all about collaborative editing. As such, here is a guide to creating the wiki page for a comic page on this wiki:

:Right. Yes. That would block every single user. What I do is, I tick off the first one, scroll all the way to the bottom, press shift and tick off the last one. This unchecks all checkboxes, like you would mark multiple files with the shift key+click on your computer file system. Next, I usually open all spam users in a new tab, copy the names and Ctrl+F through Blockandnuke and check the respective checkbox. Next, click "Block Users". Then, click "Block and Nuke". And then, and I don't know why, but it doesn't actually do it yet, so reload the page and your browser should tell you that you filled out a form etc., so you select "Resend" in Firefox or "Continue" in Chrome to resend the form request. If necessary, refresh again until you see "Nothing to do!" as a message.

This means two things for this plan: 1) We can't "Use a temporary random password and send it to the specified email address", because that means the new account can't be used without changing the password, which is impossible. 2) The only other option is to set everything up ourselves, including the password, which can't be changed; new users would have to be comfortable with one of us knowing the password to their Wiki account, which can't be changed.
